A great time had by all

A great day was had by all at the Nature Valley Big Weekend day at Driffield Lawn Tennis Club on Sunday.

About 40 people came and enjoyed the day which included coaching from Carl, a BBQ and some free play tennis. The weather couldn’t have been better, with the expected rain holding off all day.

We had about a dozen youngsters of varying ages who had fun hitting balls all over the place! Most of them had never tried tennis before, and there were tears from some when it was time to go home!

Families enjoyed the sunshine and brought picnics when we all needed a break.

Thanks to everyone who came, and to all the club members who worked so hard to make the day so successful.

We had a lot of requests to do more, so we will definitely do another one, hopefully in the summer holidays. We will publicise this soon, once we have the details sorted out.
