Welfare and Safeguarding at Driffield Lawn Tennis Club

Everyone should be able to enjoy tennis in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment and in this regard  Driffield Lawn Tennis Club is fully committed to promoting the wellbeing of all our members.

The Club Wefare Officer, David Godfrey, and Safeguarding Officer,  Deri Reed-Thomas are available to listen to and discuss any concerns and can be contacted directly or via email at club@driffieldltc.co.uk

Our Club's coaches and all welfare and safeguarding officers have all undertaken LTA safeguarding training to the required level and we are pleased that the club remains guided by the LTA on all safeguarding matters.

Safeguarding is, of course, everyone's concern. If you are worried about a person under 18 or a vulnerable adult who you think might be at risk of abuse or neglect, it is important you share your concerns.

You can contact the club's welfare officers any time (using the contact details above), or if you prefer, you can take your concerns direct to the Safeguarding team at the LTA using the secure online form available at https://safeguardingconcern.lta.org.uk/ Your concern will be treated seriously and information shared only on a need to know basis.

In an emergency contact 999  - or, for help and advice before contacting the LTA you can:

-  call the NSPCC on 0808 500 5000 or

-  call the local council Safeguarding Adults team on 01482 396940 or email safeguardingadultsteam@eastriding.gcsx.gov.uk
